REMAINS
I don’t like busy frames, try to keep my pictures as simple as possible. But unless I’m in a desert or looking at the vast ocean, that’s often not possible.
For a while, I couldn’t understand why I enjoy blurred photos so much. Then I realised, defocusing the lens reduces the image to its essentials - leaving out
all the unnecessary bits. It is kind of like our memories: We keep the meaningful moments with us and erase the boring details of life.
Remains of a day at the beach.
Remains of a weekend at poppy fields.
Remains of a windy road.
Remains of a lazy afternoon.
Remains of a sunny day in a rainy forest.
Remains of a backpacker’s luxurious escapade.
Remains of a glamorous sunset.
Remains of an Arctic night drive.
Remains of a foggy night in Kreuzberg.
