A film inspired by the real-life story of 92-year-old piano teacher Cornelia Vertenstein, who has continued her lessons over FaceTime during lockdown.
Just like the kids appearing at Cornelia’s door in the end, this campaign has turned out to be an unexpected surprise in my portfolio.
Vodafone was not my client and I have never worked for it before. But since all of our ongoing projects has suddenly stopped because of the pandemic, we started helping out our Hamburg office. And in my very first brief for Vodafone,
I had the chance to write this emotional script.
The TVC was aired on almost all channels in Germany, and it has already more than 1 million views on Youtube.
So, in many ways my lockdown story bears resemblances with Cornelia’s.
Well… maybe mine is not as inspiring as hers,
but this project will sure be the highlight of
these weird times for me.
